Concerns answered

Hello! I have had some concerned girls and parents after they have read my email about changing studio names. I just want to address these concerns with all of you, because I'm sure others have has the same concerns. I want you to know, first of all, that I love these girls like they are my own. I would never do something that I didn't think would benefit them. I truly am excited about merging with Aspire. So, with that said, here are some questions I have been getting:

1. Are there going to be other girls from Aspire in our company? Answer: No, not this year. Our companies are set and will be just like they have been. However, in the future years, other girls may opt to come to the American Fork studio if they don't want to compete, and any of our girls would be able to try out for a competition company at the Lindon studio.

2. Are costs going to change? Answer: Tuition will be the same as outlined in the agreement you signed if you are on Company. The other charges will be as discussed in the previous email. Regular tuition prices are very similar to what they were.

3. Will we have the same teachers? Answer: YES! Our amazing teachers are still with us, and we get to meet a few more. I have read their bios and they are going to be so great! I'm excited to meet them and have them join our dance family!

4. Will the dances and costumes stay modest? Answer: YES! I have discussed this with Robyn in depth. She is on the same wave length as I am. Some of you have said you have seen some costumes of theirs that aren't modest. Her pre-professional group, Ethos, does sometimes get costumes with cut-outs on the sides. However, this is a totally different program than the regular studio. Robyn is very aware of modesty in costumes and dance moves. If you ever feel uncomfortable with something, please talk to either me or Robyn.

5. Will Heidi still be at the studio? Answer: YES! I will be there from 3:30-close on MondayTuesday and Wednesday each week. I still have a vested interest in this studio. I love the students and I know this can be great!

Hopefully this has helped answer some questions. I know if we all enter this with a positive attitude, it will be an amazing year! Please let me know if you have any other questions.
Thanks!
Heidi Panter

Meet the owner of Aspire... Robyn Warner!!!

BIG NEWS!!!

Dear parents and students-
I am so excited to announce that Timp School of Dance is merging with Aspire Dance Academy beginning this fall! I know this is big news to you, and I want to make sure that you understand everything this new and exciting opportunity will offer.

First, Robyn Warner, the owner of Aspire Dance Academy, and myself have very similar goals with our studios. We want the students to have a great experience learning dance, appreciating their bodies, and balancing discipline and fun. We both have strong beliefs in values and family time and believe that structure and balance are important. Robyn is very organized and has successfully ran Aspire Dance Academy for five years. She has a lot of dance experience and a fun and friendly personality. As we talked about the possibility of merging our two studios together, I knew right away that this would be the perfect opportunity to offer our students more possibilities. I am truly excited about where this will take us!

Aspire Dance Academy has a location in Lindon and now we will be the American Fork Location. We will still run the same quality dance classes, and have wonderful teachers. In fact, most of our staff will be staying with us. And I will still be in the studio to help with anything. Our summer schedule will still run through August 12. Fall schedule will start August 29. There will be a few things that will be different, but I know this is going to be amazing!

Things that are new and improved:
1.      Our name will now be Aspire Dance Academy owned by Robyn Warner! We will have a new beautiful logo and two studio locations!
2.      We will have one performance a year in May. This will reduce yearly costume and performance fees for parents. Costume fees will be $50-68 per class plus a $20 accessory fee, and performance fee will be $35 per dancer and no admittance fee to the show!
3.      Combo classes will have TAP added to their curriculum! I’m very excited about this! If your child is in a Combo class, they will need pink ballet shoes and black tap shoes. One week the class will do tap/jazz and the next week the class will be ballet/tumbling. At the recital, Combo classes will have just one costume, but will perform a tap number and a jazz or ballet number in the same costume. They will be on stage twice!
4.      Students will have the opportunity to compete. Aspire has recreational dance classes for students who don’t want to compete, company classes for those that want to compete locally, and they also offer a pre-professional circuit called Ethos for dancers who want to compete nationally.
5.      Our new website will be aspiredanceacademy.com and the studio phone number will be 801-471-5125. The best way to get a hold of Robyn is via email at aspirelindon@gmail.com. The website is getting a facelift right now, and will be fully updated by August 12. Also, follow us at @aspiredanceacademy on Instagram and Facebook.
6.      The new tuition fees are super similar to the old ones. They will be as follows:
30 minutes- $35/month          45 minutes- $40/month                      1 hour- $45/month
1.5 hours- $60/month             2 hours- $78/month                            3 hours- $105/month
4 hours- $130/month              Those on Company will have the same tuition fees as discussed in your contracts.

As far as other fees, here’s what you can expect:  Pay your $35 registration fee upon enrollment (includes tshirt), a $35 recital fee due in January, a $35 costume deposit and $20 accessory kit fee due in February, and the remaining costume balance due in March. You will also need your normal dance class attire and you will need to purchase Body Wrappers Stirrup tights in color Jazzy Tan for Jazz classes and Theatrical Pink for ballet classes for the recital that are $15. Combo classes will only need the Jazz tights.

Things that will stay their awesome selves:
1.      Our fall schedule will only have minor changes made to it. If you are already registered for fall classes, you don’t need to register again. You will be in the same classes you already registered for!
2.      Most of our fantastic teachers will stay here with us! We will have a few new teachers as well, which will be a great addition!
3.      Our costumes, music and dance moves will stay modest and clean.
4.      Miss Heidi will be at the studio still, working at the front desk.

For those of you who are wanting to meet Robyn personally, we will be having a meet and greet on Wednesday, August 17 from 5:00-7:00 at the American Fork Studio. If you have any questions or would like to discuss opportunities for your dancers, this would be a great time to do that. Before then, feel free to email Robyn with any questions you may have.  I have full confidence that this is going to make your experience and your child’s experience even better than it would have been. Robyn is amazing and I know you will love her as much as I do. It has been my pleasure to be the owner of Timp School of Dance, and will continue to be my pleasure to be at the front desk and to watch it grow as Aspire Dance Academy.

Sincerely,

Heidi Panter
