November Newsletter

Hello parents, I wanted to let you all know that classes are coming along GREAT! Your children are progressing and attendance is high this year. (This makes our jobs easier!) Thank you all for letting us teach your children, they are looking so good! Here is what is going on at the studio this month. Please remember that it is SO important that your children are in their classes each week, all kids that are in Ballet or Combo classes will be working on Nutcracker dances from this point until the end of the year.



Payments & Holidays
November tuition is due and if you haven’t already paid for your children’s Nutcracker costume(s), payment is due by the 15th of this month (prices are in the October Newsletter or online at www.timpschoolofdance.blogspot.com). The studio will be closed Wednesday November 25, and Thursday November 26, due to Thanksgiving break. I will be sending your children home this week with an updated rehearsal/class schedule that will take us to the end of the year. Even though it may look overwhelming, I have tried my hardest to keep kids coming on their regular dance day as much as possible, so it shouldn’t be too crazy for your family during this very busy season.



“Nutcracker”
We will be performing at American Fork High School. We will be performing TWO shows this year, one on Saturday Dec. 19 and one on Monday Dec. 21. Look over your rehearsal schedule for the times and rehearsals on these days. Some of the classes have already started their dances, and the Nutcracker is coming along great! I really appreciate all the hard work and extra hours that your children are putting in. It is shaping up to be a great show. Tickets will be available for pre-sale on Saturday Dec.19. We will sale them at Cory Adams when your children are getting their pictures taken. You can also buy tickets at the door of both shows. Prices again are $10 for adult (12 and older), $8 for children (11 and younger).



Nutcracker Pictures
We will be having our Nutcracker Pictures at Cory Adams Photography on Saturday December 19 starting at 10am (also pre-sale of Nutcracker tickets as mentioned earlier). There will be no rehearsals this day, because AF is unavailable. Please mark this date in your calendar! I will send a schedule of picture times in December’s Newsletter.



Nutcracker Boys & Parents
I still need 3 boys( 8yrs or older)!! Right now I have Dawson Armstrong, Lane Dudley, Max Gunther (?), Russell Rafajko, Mckay Meacham and Isaac Rutter. Moms, please go to DI and buy your son a pair of Dark colored (grey, brown, black, navy, not kaki) dress pants and bring them to their first rehearsal. We will have them cut off and sewn into knee length pants for your boy’s costume. You will also need to provide black shoes, black knee high socks, and a white button down dress shirt for their performance. Email me if your boys are interested, and I will send you a rehearsal schedule. The 5 couples that I have committed are Panters, Jensens, Nicole’s Neighbors, Chloe & partner and Dudley’s. Thanks!



Other information
I realize that some of you have multiple children dancing with multiple parts, and I know that this can be a sacrifice. This is going to be a great experience for your children, one that they will never forget! If anybody has any questions please let me know, Thank You All! Tami 801-602-9196

Now that things are nice and settled
with students, times changes,and teacher
changes I hope all your girls
(and some boys!!) are enjoying
their classes. If you have any
questions at any time please let

Tuition Policy & Costume Fee"s
October Tuition is due. Just a reminder,
all tuition will be due by the 15 of the
month or a $10 fee will be added to your
account, if tuition is not paid in the
month that it is due, a $20 fee will be
added to your account. We will not charge
a late fee for costume monies that are due
if they are paid within the month. Costume
money is due in the month of October. Below
is the cost for costumes (per class). All
Children will be keeping their costumes unless
it is a rental.

October Holiday Schedule
Monday Oct. 5 we WILL BE HAVING DANCE CLASSES
even though there will not be school however,
the studio will be closed Thursday October 15,
due to UEA. We will be having our Halloween
Dress-up days on Tuesday Oct. 27 & Wed Oct. 28
this month. Be sure to send your kids in costumes
they can dance in, and don"t forget
their dance shoes!

Nutcracker Costumes
Nutcracker Costumes are being ordered and
paid for NEXT week. Everybody in a combo class
and/or ballet class will owe a costume fee.
Your costume money is due anytime during this
month. If you cannot pay the entire costume balance
during the month of October please talk with
Tami. Look below for Costume prices per class.

Nutcracker Info
If anybody has a young (well behaved) son in
the 2nd - 6th grade, that would like to
perform in the "Nutcracker" please email me
and let me know! The kids that I know are
performing so far are Russell Rafajko
and Dawson Armstrong. We are in need of 8
little boys that would be willing to dance
in all three performances. (If they cannot
do all three shows, please don"t sign them up.)
They don"t have to dance in tights! Any little
boy with some coordination can do it!! They
would be part of Act 1 Party Scene. We also
need 5 sets of parents to join us as well!
If you volunteer you get into the show to
see your daughter back stage for free!!
Please email me and let me know if you
are interested!

We are also looking for some chaperon's
for any of the performances of the
Nutcracker, there will be a sign up sheet
in the studio starting in November. This
will get you into the show free, but you
will have to back in dressing rooms watching
children the shows and dress rehearsals.
I will be using our staff for other jobs,
and some of them will be performing,
so if you can help in this area,
I would really appreciate it!

Nutcracker Rehearsals

a rehearsal schedule given to your child
in November. Classes will remain
the same (with a few exceptions) until
after Thanksgiving break.All regular
studio classes that are not
involved in the Nutcracker will

June Newsletter

June Newsletter
***SOME IMPORTANT TIMES & LOCATIONS HAVE CHANGED. PLEASE THROW ALL OTHER EMAILS AND SCHEDULES AWAY. SAVE THIS ONE!***

I can’t believe that this year is coming to an end! We are all so excited to show you all what we have been working so hard on, “Summertime Magic” is going to be great! I wanted to remind you of a few things about the next three weeks. (This will be the last newsletter that you will be receiving before our show.)

If you have not registered for fall or summer there are still classes available. I have attached a schedule so you know what is available. You can email me the classes you want or you can go online and register at timpschoolofdance.blogspot.com. If somebody you know registers for classes and they are NEW to the studio, you don’t have to pay your $15 registration fee!! Just email me and let me know who they are and we’ll adjust your account! Classes next fall begin on Monday August 31. You will be getting a reminder email in August so that you will remember what you have registered your child(ren) for.

***We will be distributing costumes to students the week of June 8th in their class. If your child does not receive their costume in their class, I will have it at the studio for pick-up. (If you owe any money to the studio, your child will not receive their costume until your account is paid in full, this includes the tiny ones too!)

It’s picture time!
Thursday June 18, is our picture day at Cory Adams. The schedule of times is attached. Please allow your children to come and be in the group pictures even if you do not plan on buying any pictures yourself. Your children should come dressed in their correct costume, with the right color of tights, shoes, and hair as explained on a flier in this newsletter. Also, please be on time according to the Cory Adams Schedule, they do things fast there and I would hate for anyone to miss their group picture. The time schedule for this day is also attached. If you will NOT be at pictures, please email me and let me know so that we don’t wait for you.

It’s Show Time!!
I have hired, Big Think Marketing & Media again to tape & sell DVD’s of our show. They will have a table set up at the show where you can buy a DVD of “Summertime Magic” for $20.00 if you want to pick up your copy in Cedar Hills or $23.00 if you would like your copy mailed to you. Remember there will be NO personal video taping aloud at our show!

**TIME CHANGE**
12pm – 4pm (All students not listed below)
2pm – Finished (no later then 4pm) (Combo 3yrs, Combo 4yrs, Combo 5yrs, Combo 6 & 7yrs)

This is our MANDATORY dress rehearsal for all dancers at Covey Center for the Arts. (If your child is not there she will not be allowed to dance in our show) This is a full dress rehearsal, they need costume, tights, shoes and anything else that goes with their costume on that day. There is no need for hair or makeup at this rehearsal. If your child is in a Combo Class she will be excused after she does her dance, so have a driver there waiting for her. Please have older children bring a quiet activity to do while waiting, they will not be dancing the whole time but they need to be there the whole time. (If you know your child needs extra help sitting quietly, and not running around please feel free to stay with them the whole time.) Please do not be late, we have a lot to accomplish in a short amount of time. We will be finished around 4pm.

Our show that evening will start promptly at 7pm (Doors open at 6pm). Please have your dancers there and ready to dance by 6:30pm. If you have a little one please take her potty before you bring her to her dressing room. Just so you are aware, we will NOT be selling flowers at this performance, but feel free to bring your own if you want.
***After the show, you must pick up your child at their dressing room. The dancers will not be allowed to come through the curtain after the last bow, they will all be taken back to their dressing room for safety reasons. Please do not allow young sons to go into your child’s dressing room because kids will be changing their clothes.

I can not believe that school is almost out! Before things get too crazy in the summer I want to give you all the information that you need about what is coming up. Just so you are clear, all classes will remain at the same times through the month of June just as they are right now. Nothing in the schedule will change times until June 22 for the Summer Schedule. Below is the new summer schedule, Dance Camp Schedule info, and Fall schedule.

IN ORDER TO REGISTER YOUR CHILDREN FOR SUMMER, DANCE CAMP AND/OR FALL. YOU WILL NEED TO EMAIL ME THE CLASSES THAT YOU WOULD LIKE TO REGISTER FOR, OR GO ONLINE AND REGISTER AT TIMPSCHOOLOFDANCE.BLOGSPOT. COM.

The $15 registration fee will be added to your account and due in June. If you have neighbors/friends that you would like to dance with us they may register by email as well. Please call me if you have any questions. Thank You!

Because of the change in performance venue, this month the $35 performance fee (per family) will be changed to $25 and added to your account. If you have paid the $35 fee already, a $10 credit will be added to your account. Remember there will be no ticket cost.

April Newsletter

Hello everybody, I hope your kids are enjoying their classes. All the dances for our upcoming show are coming along great. Last night I was watching one of the groups and tears came to my eyes, they looked so great. They have been working hard and I can’t wait to show you all their progress…I think you will be amazed! Please remember to try your hardest to have them in their classes so they don’t miss too much.

Thank you all for your costume fees, all costumes have been ordered. Nicole will be emailing you if you some of you still need to pay those. Sr & Jr Parents, we have added a $5.00 tank top fee to the Turns class on Thursday 7-8pm. You will see that on your next statement.

Important Dates to remember:
April 13-16 Studio Closed due to Spring Break – Enjoy your vacation!

Because of Spring Break this month, we are allowing an extra week to get tuition payments in before a late fee will be charged. The new due date for tuition this month is Thursday April 23.

May 1 through 29 - Performance fee of $35 per family will be charged in addition to your tuition

EXCITING NEWS!
We are planning on running a 6 week summer schedule June 22 - July 31. Classes will be in the morning hours. Everyone that participates will get to dance in the city parades and other fun summer activities.

We will also be having a Dance Camp the week of August 3 – August 7. Classes will be from 10am – 2:30 every day. The cost will be $90 for the whole week. I will have more info in a couple of weeks as teachers get their schedules figured out. Let me know if you’re interested!!

I AM ALSO LOOKING FOR SOMEONE TO MAKE A WEBSITE FOR OUR STUDIO, AND UPDATE IT WHEN NEEDED. IF ANYONE KNOWS HOW AND WOULD LIKE TO TRADE TUITION PLEASE EMAIL ME, I WOULD LIKE TO GET IT STARTED AS SOON AS POSSIBLE. THANKS EVERYONE!

MARCH NEWSLETTER

Hello everybody, your children are looking great in their classes! We have started our dances for our upcoming performance of Summertime Magic so it is important to have your children in their classes so they do not fall behind. I have listed below the dates that need to be marked on your calendars and the prices for costumes that are due THIS MONTH. I will be ordering costumes on April 1, and I need all the costume money ahead of time in order to do this. There will be no late fee this month if payment is not made by the 15 because of the increase with costumes. Everybody (for this month only) have all of March to pay your tuition and costume fees.

Monday March 9 – Studio Closed

Tuesday March 31 – All Costume Money is due with March Tuition

May 1-29 - Performance fee of $35 per family will be charges in addition to your tuition

Just a reminder – If your tuition has not been put in the box, or mailed to the studio by the 15 of the month, an automatic Late Fee of $10 is charged to your account. If payment is not made in the month that it is due, an additional $20 late fee is charged to your account. Nicole will email you prior to the $20 late fee, so that you can get tuition in without being charged the $20 fee. Please take care of these fees if there are any on your account. If you have questions regarding your account, please email Nicole at timpschoolofdance@hotmail.com.

There are still some Nutcracker DVD’s and Pictures that need to be picked up at the studio. Please only take the DVD if it has your name on it! Also, if you have extra jazz shoes, ballet slippers, tights, leotards or anything else that your child has grown out of and are still usable, please feel free to post a flier on our big studio board with a price on it or what you would be willing to trade someone for it. I know that it is expensive to keep buying items that our children have outgrown, so if we can save ourselves money by reusing some items I think it would benefit us all. If anyone has any questions for me let me know anytime! Thank you all!

February Newsletter

FEBRUARY NEWSLETTER

Hello everybody, your children are looking great in their classes, and as some of you know, the next big performance for our Studio will be “Summertime Magic.” The date for this performance is Monday June 22. I have moved the date because of Strawberry Days, vacations etc. Please mark your calendars early to save this date. We will perform the show at American Fork High School. I have put the dress rehearsal and the performance ON THE SAME DAY to avoid summertime family conflicts. The mandatory rehearsal & performance dates and times are on Monday June 22. Dress Rehearsal will be 9am-1:00pm (11:00am-1:00pm for all young children in combo 3, 4, 5, 6, & 7). Our performance will start at 7pm that same night. I hope this helps with everybody’s schedules. I will be ordering ALL costumes next month. Starting MARCH 1st, you will be responsible for full payment of costumes. ( I will have the cost breakdown sent to you in the next two weeks) If you are not planning on being in the performance I need to know this month. Thank You! (Remember, we will be re-using our nutcracker ballet costumes for our spring performance, so some of you will not need to pay an extra costume fee. Please keep these costumes nice for our next show!)


Summertime Magic info
As I announced in the September Newsletter and the Studio Policy information, there will be a $35 performance fee charged to each dancer’s family (not each dancer) for our show instead of charging for admission tickets. This means that all your family members, friends, and neighbors can come and see the show for free! There will be no exceptions for this fee. If your daughter is performing, the fee will be owed. The reason for this is rental of American Fork High School, it is very expensive. This fee will be due the first week of May with your tuition.

I am trying to schedule to have pictures taken by Cory Adams Photography AT OUR DRESS REHEARSAL on Monday June 22. I will send you a schedule of times in an upcoming newsletter.

Account Balance Information
Did you know that you can view all of your account/payment/class information online? Go to the website timpschoolofdance.blogspot.com and click on the first link titled REGISTRATION. That will take you to the sign in page. Follow the directions from there. When you are logged in, you can see a breakdown of the monthly payments that have been made, if there are any late fees, and what classes your dancers are registered for. We have many of you who have underpaid or overpaid. Check it out.

Nutcracker DVD’s
I will let you all know when the Nutcracker DVD’s will be available for pick up; they should be finished in the next couple of weeks!


Please remember to get your children in their classes each week. It is important so that they can learn their dances. Thank you all for your continual support & for letting us work with your great children! We are still taking new students all month, if you have friends or family that want to join us, let them know soon! If you have any questions please send me an email or call 796-7049!
