Heidi Panter: Studio Owner and Director

Heidi grew up dancing the minute her feet hit the floor! Her mom owned a dance studio in Idaho and she took lessons every year. Heidi was on a competitive clogging team and went to many competitions in the Western US. She also studied tap, ballet, hip hop and jazz. She was on the dance team at her high school and her Senior year was nominated as president of the team. This position gave her the opportunity to lead and choreograph many routines, including several routines that took first place in district competition. Heidi has won many awards in team, duet and solo competitions. When she graduated from high school, she started teaching at the Black Canyon Dance Studio, teaching all ages from 3 to 15. She also was a judge for High School Drill Team Competitions. She still has a deep love of dance and knows of the friendships that can be forged through dance. Most of all she loves to be around all of the students and their parents. Heidi looks forward to watching the students at Timpanogos School of Dance grow and develop their talents while learning to love the art of dance.

She graduated from BYU as a dance major with a ballet emphasis where she performed and toured with Ballet Showcase. She has taught at The Dance Conservatory, Hot Shots, Timpanogos School of Dance, and BYU. As a student at BYU she received an ORCA grant for her choreography performed by Theatre Ballet and has since choreographed for BYU's Ballet Showcase Company, BYU's operas HMS Pinafore and Don Giovanni, and for The Nutcracker and performances for the studios she has taught at. She currently resides in Orem with her husband Joseph and four kids, three of which take classes here. We are lucky to have her as one of our amazing teachers!

Staci Robinson
This is Staci’s first year at Timp School of Dance. Staci started dancing at the age of 3, with her background mainly in Ballet, Tap, Jazz, and Musical Theater, with a little cheer and hip hop in the mix as well. After her first semester dancing at BYU, Staci had the privilege of working an internship at Walt Disney World in Orlando, FL in 2005 in the role of a character performer. There she performed in all four WDW theme parks, including a stage show and 3 parades (a childhood dream of hers). Staci returned to BYU and became a Dance major, where she studied all forms of dance, but fell in love with both Ballroom dancing and her husband Marshall Robinson, whom she married in 2006. Staci danced for the BYU Ballroom Dance Company for 4 semesters, taught Ballroom in 2 studios in California, and has taught Ballroom Dance at Grovecrest Elementary in Pleasant Grove since 2011. Staci graduated with her BA in Dance from BYU in 2012, and she and her husband live in Pleasant Grove with their two beautiful daughters. She is very honored and excited to have been able to share her passion and experience with the adorable little combo students this year here at Timp School of Dance.

Kirsten Cannon’s love and passion for dance began when she started taking ballet classes at age 4 in La Crosse, Wisconsin. She continued her training in Boise, Idaho at Capital City Ballet Center from 2000-2010. Her dance training also includes attending Brigham Young University and University of Utah Ballet Summer Intensives.
Kirsten will graduate from Brigham Young University with a Bachelor’s of Arts with an emphasis in ballet August 2014. Kirsten performed with BYU Ballet Showcase Company as well as BYU Theatre Ballet. Kirsten’s highlights of Theatre Ballet include performing in the full length productions of Swan Lake and Sleeping Beauty as well as touring to California and participating in Regional Dance America in Spokane, Washington.

Kirsten began teaching ballet while in high school at Dance Unlimited Studios (Boise, Idaho) and has taught for BYU’s Children’s Creative Dance Program 2013-2014.
